Angela Kleger is a Lute and 10-String Guitar player. She comes from Winterthur, Switzerland and took her first guitar lesson at the age of nine. Her parallel interest in other instruments and timbres gradually build her manner of playing guitar and evolved her personal feeling and taste of guitar sound. Between 2011 and 2013 she studied in the conservatory of Winterthur, Switzerland, where she was presented to a vast repertoire of music from Renaissance to Modern epochs and formed her musical orientation.

Since 2013 her prime repertoire became the music of J.S. Bach. Shortly she explored all of his lute works and the sonatas and partitas for solo violin. In 2017 she finished her higher musical education at the Zurich University of the Arts – ZHdK. The thematic of her studies exposed the relation with the fractal architecture of some of the compositions of J.S. Bach, which approve the relation of those works with nature.

During her years in Zurich, Angela met many guitar masters passing from there as Leo Brower and others, from who she draws important skills and knowledge. In 2019 she record the CD “Classical Fragments” with classical music arranged for two guitars together with Dimitar Ivanov.

In September 2020 Angela signed with the label “Naxos“ for a new album release: “Goldberg Variations“ for two 10-string guitars together with Dimitar Ivanov in Duo Synaphé. The album enters in the priority list of the label with world premiere on 27th of August 2021 and shortly after the release, it is nominated for the prestigious International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) for 2022.
